A few words and more work done on the cottage...

I just wanted to thank everyone for following me and all your comments. I really appreciate it, thanks so much. It means more to me than I can even say. Also to Caroline thanks again for mentioning my feature on you on your blog!

Now on to the slow but steady progress...

I still have to make all the flower boxes for the windows and a whole bunch of flowers for them and the beds. The grass, walkway and add more moss to the roof.

Then I will see what else needs to be changed/added and move to the inside. I'm still not very happy with the trim color but Ive changed it 5 times and I think I can maybe live with this, at least until tomorrow lol. Still haven't thought of a name for it. Any suggestions? Its 3 am here and I am beat so I'm out but ill be back Tuesday with a tutorial on a letter holder. Night :)

Fine cottage. I know about, with difficulties there can be in choosing and finding the right color.
I have a cabinet I have sanded and painted so many times, so there is almost no wood back .. so beware .. smile.

Thanks Wyrna. Its just driving me nuts. None of colors have seemed right but I think I'm just going to have to live with it. By your comment I see you've had the same problem so you know what its like. I'm going to try not to stress it lol

Your cottage is charming...and I think the trim looks nice. As far as the name goes, think about who might live there. Maybe the right name will then make itself known.

Have a good week, Tina!

I think your cottage is coming along great! I love the exposed brick and the aged roof. Waiting to see your flowers maybe I can learn something ;)

I had just written a comment and somehow I lost it. I hate it when that happens. Anyways, I adore how you have finished the exterior of your cottage. It looks like a storybook cottage, my favourite kind. As for your chosen colour, just leave it for now. If it's meant to be changed, something will come to you when you least expect it or perhaps you'll be at Michaels' one day and you will see a colour that you can bond with.

As for a name, what I do when I'm searching for a name is that I use the clustering method. Perhaps you've heard of it. If not, you simply take a blank piece of paper and write cottage in the middle and circle it. Then leave your mind blank and write down everything that comes to you and all associated words are to be grouped in a line and joined with arrows. When a word of a different association comes to you, start another group. It's a lot fun and I'm sure you could come up with a name that you will like. Writers use that method a lot when they hit a blank. You could also use this method to come up with a name for that beautiful doll you made.

Your cottage is wonderful I love it. I am sure that if you are not happy with the trim colour a perfect colour will make itself known :) I am looking forward to seeing your flowers and the tutorial.

I havent really thought about who would live there but in my head its an old but well loved little cottage in the woods, maybe a weekly rental for other mini people idk. Guess I will have to think of the little people that inhabit it. Thanks :)

Thanks Jane! Maybe in the next couple weeks I will do a small tutorial on a couple diffrent flowers since im going to be making so many. I love flowers and a nice garden but Im sure I will be sick of them by then lol

Ive never heard of that before but what a great idea! Thanks Lucille! I have tried to see if you have a blog but cant find one :( Do you have one?

I so hope it makes itself known, its bugging me! really, really bugging me. I thought I could maybe live with it last night but walking past it this morning im like yuck. My iphone doesnt take the best pics I like it better in the pics lol. As far as the flowers I might do a tutorial on them in the next couple weeks. I think it would be alot easier for me to do one on something im doing instead of stopping my project to make one on something else. Thanks for your comment!

No, sorry, I don't! Perhaps in the future. I'm still thinking about it. In the meantime, I read blogs, comment, and work on my dollhouse.

I understand but if you ever do let me know!

Привет!
Мне нравится Ваш коттедж. И цвет на фото подходящий. Я часто мучаюсь над своими цветовыми решениями. Может мы слишком к себе серьезно относимся?
